About Us
Safeguard Self Storage was founded in New Orleans in 1989, with the goal of delivering unparalleled quality and service to the self-storage industry. The company experienced significant growth during the mid-1990’s and continues to expand its footprint with facilities throughout the U.S. Through various acquisition and development strategies, Safeguard now operates in seven states, offering more than five million square feet of storage space.
The devastation of Hurricane Katrina in 2005 necessitated relocation of its corporate offices from New Orleans to Atlanta. Today, Safeguard has grown to more than 86 locations and thrives by embracing opportunities for growth and continued success.
